Job Description

  • Oversee Bookkeeping Team to achieve maximum productivity (hire, coach, supervise).

  • Ensure all bookkeeping client accounts are maintained accurately and on time, including month-end closing entries.

  • Review and preparation of all client financial reports

  • Onboard new clients (gather necessary info/access, convert to QBO if needed, provide clean-up/catch-up services)

  • Provide tax preparation services

  • Customer Relations


  • Certified Public Accountant (preferred)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

  • Working knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Online (Certified QBO ProAdvisor preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, showing progressive responsibilities, preferably within a startup or high growth company.

  • 2+ years of experience managing an accounting team.

  • 2+ years of experience in Public Accounting.

  • 2+ years experience in Tax Preparation / GAAP

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and technical accounting skills with a detailed understanding of GAAP standards.

  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly detail-oriented and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, communicate progress and execute effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment

This is primarily a remote position, with occasional in-person meetings. Candidates must possess a quiet workspace with reliable internet access. This position is contract to start.
